However, their modes of influence differ.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Asanas work primarily through the physical body, affecting muscles, joints, fascia, and internal organs.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Pranayama acts directly through the pranic body, which is <b>more closely connected to the mind and nervous system<\/b> than the physical structure.<\/p>\n<p>For this reason, pranayama:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022affects the state of the mind more quickly,<\/p>\n<p>\u2022has a stronger impact on the emotional background,<\/p>\n<p>\u2022requires a more conscious and careful approach.<\/p>\n<p>For the instructor, this implies increased responsibility when transmitting breathing techniques to students.<\/p>\n<p><b>The Role of Pranayama in Yoga Teacher Training<\/b><\/p>\n<p>In a professional course, a yoga instructor studies pranayama not only as a personal practice, but also as a <b>tool for teaching and supporting other people<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>An instructor must:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022understand the mechanisms of action of each technique,<\/p>\n<p>\u2022know indications and contraindications,<\/p>\n<p>\u2022be able to adapt the practice to different levels of preparation,<\/p>\n<p>\u2022monitor the condition of students during pranayama practice.<\/p>\n<p>Pranayama without understanding may become mechanical breathing.<\/p>\n<p>Pranayama with understanding becomes a <b>method of transformation<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><b>General Rules for Practicing Pranayama<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Methodological Foundation for the Instructor<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Posture for Practicing Pranayama<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The posture should be stable, symmetrical, and free from tension.<\/p>\n<p><b>At the initial stage of training:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u2022Sukhasana,<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Vajrasana.<\/p>\n<p><b>As the body opens and the practice stabilizes:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u2022Ardha Padmasana,<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Padmasana,<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Siddhasana (Siddha Yoni Asana).<\/p>\n<p>The instructor must be able to correctly select a posture based on the anatomical and physiological characteristics of the student.<\/p>\n<p><b>Conditions and Place of Practice<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The place for practicing pranayama should:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022be clean,<\/p>\n<p>\u2022be well ventilated,<\/p>\n<p>\u2022be free of strong odors,<\/p>\n<p>\u2022be protected from strong drafts,<\/p>\n<p>\u2022be free from insects and distracting factors.<\/p>\n<p>Air quality directly affects the quality of pranayama; therefore, practice conditions are of fundamental importance.<\/p>\n<p><b>Time of Practice and Nutrition<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Pranayama should be practiced:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022at least 30 minutes before meals,<\/p>\n<p>\u2022or 4 hours after eating.<\/p>\n<p>For deeper practice, <b>moderation in diet<\/b> is necessary. In the yogic tradition, there is a rule:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFill the stomach halfway with food,<\/p>\n<p>one quarter with water,<\/p>\n<p>and the remaining quarter with air.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The instructor is obliged to convey to students an understanding of the relationship between nutrition, breathing, and the state of the mind.<\/p>\n<p><b>Preparation of the Respiratory Pathways<\/b><\/p>\n<p>If necessary, before practice it is recommended to perform <b>jala neti<\/b> \u2014 cleansing of the nasal passages with saline water.<\/p>\n<p>This:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022improves airway patency,<\/p>\n<p>\u2022increases the effectiveness of pranayama,<\/p>\n<p>\u2022reduces the risk of discomfort during practice.<\/p>\n<p><b>Awareness as a Key Element of Pranayama<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Pranayama is impossible without awareness.<\/p>\n<p>Automatic breathing is not pranayama.<\/p>\n<p>During practice it is important to:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022be aware of the phases of inhalation, exhalation, and retention,<\/p>\n<p>\u2022observe the movement of breath in the body,<\/p>\n<p>\u2022track work with a specific energy center or channel.<\/p>\n<p>If the mind becomes distracted, this is natural.<\/p>\n<p>The task of the practitioner and instructor is:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022not to suppress the mind,<\/p>\n<p>\u2022not to become irritated,<\/p>\n<p>\u2022to gently return attention to the breath or the object of concentration.<\/p>\n<p><b>Duration of Practice<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The maximum effect of pranayama begins to manifest <b>after 20 minutes of conscious breathing<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>However, in instructor training it is important to:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022begin with short sessions,<\/p>\n<p>\u2022gradually increase the duration,<\/p>\n<p>\u2022take into account individual physiological responses.<\/p>\n<p><b>The Principle of Non-Violence in Breathing<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Breathing should be:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022smooth,<\/p>\n<p>\u2022controlled,<\/p>\n<p>\u2022free from tension.<\/p>\n<p>Any force, haste, or coercion:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022disrupts the flow of prana,<\/p>\n<p>\u2022overloads the nervous system,<\/p>\n<p>\u2022contradicts the principles of classical yoga.<\/p>\n<p>The instructor must ensure that pranayama <b>never turns into competition or a struggle with the breath<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><b>Conclusion for the Instructor<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Pranayama is not
